  •  Returning Carlsbad Junior Lifeguards already have an account set up.
  • If you have ever used Reserve California to make any reservation you have an account.
  • You will need to add your children to your account to register for Junior Guards.
  • You may only participate in one session due to the popularity of the program. Immediate refunds will be provided to individuals who sign up for multiple sessions. 
  • Enrollment in the program is based on a first come, first served basis.
  • "NEW" Carlsbad Junior Lifeguards must pass a swim test. You may register to save a spot before you take the swim test. If your child does not pass, you will be issued a full refund.
  • We will not guarentee session switches due to user error. Please make sure you are registering for the correct session. 
  • You will not see Carlsbad listed until registration opens.

Swim Test FAQ that can be answered:  Please visit our Swim Test page.

  • You only need to attend one testing date.
  • No reservation needed, show up at any time within the two hours.
  • We aim to get you signed up and tested within 30 minutes.
  • You will need to have your child show up at the pool with swim suits on ready to swim.
  • Goggles are fine to wear, no swim fins allowed. 
  • If you do not complete a swim test, you will be refunded and dropped from the program.
  • There will be no retesting for any child who fails to meet the time reqirement.
  • We will not be allowing any make up swims for those who can not attend a swim.

 Refund FAQ that can be answered:

  •  If a participant fails to pass the swim test, a full refund will be issued.
  •  If a participant must cancel for any reason prior to 7 calendar days of the start date of the training a $50.00 cancellation fee will apply.
  •  If a participant must drop out of the training for any reason within 7 calendar days after the training has started a 50% refund will be issued.
  •  If a participant must drop out of the training after 7 calendar days of the start date of the training no refund will be issued.
  •  If a participant is injured while participating in the training a pro-rated refund will be issued based on the number of training days that were started.
  •  No refund will be issued to any participant that is suspended or expelled from training for disciplinary reasons.
  • If you are inquiring about a refund. Please email us with the reservation confirmation number as well as your child’s first and last name.
