Karl Knapp Trail Closure between the Zig Zag #2 and Brown Creek/South Fork access trailhead

Trail Closure 3/18/2026: In the interest of public safety, the Karl Knapp Trail between the Zig Zag #2 and Brown Creek/South Fork access trailhead (on the west side of Newton B. Drury Parkway) will be closed to access and use starting March 18th, 2026 until Further Notice. Visitors hiking the West Ridge, Rhododendron, Karl Knapp, Zig Zag #1, and Zig Zag #2 will not be able to cross through this section and will likely need to hike out and back to return to their starting location. This closure is necessary for public safety while North Coast Redwoods District personnel work on trail improvements and bridge restoration.
