American River Bridge Debris Removal Project Begins 8/18/25

Beginning August, 18, 2025, work is set to start on the American River Bridge Debris Removal Project. The project will removal 750 tons of debris left in the American River from the SR-49 bridge collapse (December 1964). Detours and closure will be in effect throughout the project.
