SOUTH LAKE TAHOE — California State Parks announced today that D.L. Bliss State Park will fully reopen to the public for camping and day use on May 21, 2026, following a multi-year waterline replacement project. The reopening marks an exciting milestone for park visitors and local residents eager to return to one of the Lake Tahoe basin’s most beloved parks. Camping reservations for bookings six months out will be available starting Nov. 21, 2025, on ReserveCalifornia.com.
TAHOMA — California State Parks today announced D.L. Bliss State Park will remain closed for camping and partially closed for day use into summer 2025. This extended closure is necessary to complete an ongoing waterline infrastructure replacement. Campground reservations for the 2025 season at D.L. Bliss State Park will not be available until further notice.
TAHOMA, Calif.— California State Parks today announced that D.L. Bliss State Park in the Lake Tahoe Basin will remain temporarily closed through summer 2024. Contract work to replace aging waterlines at the park is ongoing and expected to be completed next year. Work will resume after the snow melts in the spring and is anticipated to continue through summer 2024.

Effective immediately, the campground and day-use areas of the park will be closed to visitors and no services will be provided. The closure is anticipated to last throughout the summer, depending on weather or other unknown conditions that may arise. The D.L. Bliss State Park website will be updated with the latest information.
