SAN BENITO COUNTY – California State Parks invites the public to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The festivities will take place at the Lower Ranch, Lodge Campground.
Here are some additional details:
- The park will offer free day-use access courtesy of the Hollister Hills Off-Road Association. However, normal camping fees will apply.
- Come stroll through rows of Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) related exhibitors and vendors.
- View vintage motorcycles.
- Enjoy family-oriented activities, food sold on site and more.
Be sure to bring your friends and family to play in the dirt at this special 50th anniversary celebration!

Opening in 1975, Hollister Hills SVRA is one of California’s first SVRAs. The park has grown to be a valuable part of the OHV and surrounding communities. It offers year-round recreational opportunities in designated areas, including 4x4, ATV, and motorcycle trails, as well as hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian trails.
