Educational Programs
The Petaluma Adobe SHP offers educational programming fit for schools near and far!
4th grade classrooms can study life at Vallejo's Petaluma Rancho first-hand in this immersive 6-hour program. Hands-on activities such as candlemaking, basketmaking, cooking, and wool-spinning are included! View our page on our Environmental Studies Program.
Students can discover Mexican-era California history with knowledgeable park staff! Our tours are compliant with California's 4th grade social studies curriculum and are approximately 45 minutes long. View our page on our School Tour Program.
Can't come visit the park in-person with your classroom? We offer virtual tours of the Petaluma Adobe via PORTS powered by Zoom. View more details on the PORTS program.
Park Rules
Do your part to help protect Petaluma Adobe's cultural and natural resources and keep yourself safe. Follow all of the park's posted rules.
- Trails - For safety’s sake, stay on designated trails and paths.
- No Alcoholic Beverages - Consumption of alcoholic beverages are prohibited within the park.
- No Drone Usage - Drones may not be flown on or over park property.
- Dogs are allowed on the trails and in historic areas, but must be kept on a leash. No dogs are allowed in the visitor center/museum.
- Speed Limit - 15 mph for all vehicles and bicycles.
- Weapons - Weapons of any kind are prohibited.
- Collecting - Animals, plants, rocks, dirt, and artifacts are protected by law and may not be disturbed or collected. The picking and taking of fruit is prohibited (Title 14 CA Adm. Code CCR 4306(a).
