Humboldt Lagoons (Chah-pekw Hee-koh ) State Park offers virtual educational programs through the PORTS (Parks Online Resources for Teachers and Students) Program!

Sign-up for Stewards of the Lagoon at Chah-pekw O'-Ket'-toh "Stone Lagoon".

This program is led by Indigenous voices and grounded in cultural respect. Through exhibits, stories, and cultural knowledge, you are invited to learn how Yurok People have always lived with this land—through the materials we use, the ways we create, and the teachings we carry forward today. This program is for 3rd grade and above.

Humboldt Lagoon Field Trip FlyerWe invite you to join us for a guided tour of the Chah-pekw O’ Ket’-toh “Stone Lagoon” Visitor Center--the fi rst tribally operated visitor center in the California State Parks system! Students will learn about the cultural signifi cance of the lagoon and how its natural resources have supported Yurok people since time immemorial. Field trips are off ered Wednesdays and Thursdays.
